Upcoming meetings

Some Emerson East related meetings have been organized for the latter part of September.

MDC Public Meeting, Wednesday, Sept 26th, 6:30 p.m at East High
Alder Larry Palm is hosting a public meeting for Madison Development Corporation to share their plan for the redevelopment of their property on the streets of E.Washington/Second st/E.Mifflin. UPDATE: Flyers for the Meeting are here and here. Also, the meeting is going to be held in Room 1043 LMC Purple. Use Door 2 or 4 on 4th st, (near E. Mifflin) to enter.

MPD Public Meeting, Thursday, Sept 27th, 6pm at Bashford United Methodist Church
The Madison Police Department is hosting a public meeting to share information, answer questions and address concerns related to the officer involved shooting that occurred on N Seventh St on 9/1.

Also don’t forget, EENA’s monthly meeting is Wednesday, September 19th, 6:30pm at Bashford United Methodist Church. The Agenda is available on our website, https://emersoneast.wordpress.com/

MDC Development Sub-Committee Mtg, 9/5

We will plan on meeting this coming Wednesday, September 5th, 6:30 at Hawthorne Library in the large meeting room.

Agenda:

1. Introductions
2. Status of the project/development
3. Review the re-zoning requirement, it’s affect on the neighborhood, and how we might influence that piece of the process.
4. Next steps for the developer, sub-committee, and neighborhood
5. Assignments, and next meeting(s)…
